ExxonMobil is the world’s largest publicly traded international Oil and Gas Company and its Esso and Mobil brands are among the most recognised in the world. The majority of their opportunities are based at their Fawley site (information on their sites is listed below). However, they also have a small number of vacancies at Newport and Fife Ethylene Plant as well as their Fuels Terminal at Heathrow Airport.
Fawley is a combined refining, lubricants and chemicals manufacturing site and is the largest in the UK and one of the most complex in Europe. The site processes around 22million tones of crude oil and other products every year. It’s mile long marine terminal handles around 2000 ship movements of crude oil and other products per annum.
The Fawley site is also home to ExxonMobil Engineering Europe Limited (EMEEL) which is their European Engineering and Projects organisation. The EMEEL organisation provides expert technical consulting and project support to Refineries, Chemical Plants and some Upstream facilities predominately in Europe and the Middle East as well as, on occasion, Asia Pacific, North America and Canada.
Newport AES (South Wales)
Advanced Elastomer Systems Ltd (AES) is one of the world’s leading suppliers of thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs). This chemicals manufacturing plant has the capacity to produce over 50,000 tonnes of TPEs per annum under the trademark Santoprene.
Fife Ethylene Plant FEP (East Scotland)
The Fife Ethylene Plant is a world scale Steam Cracker, located north of Edinburgh, which produces over 800kTa of ethylene for the European Market. The plant, which is an integral part of the North Sea Gas value chain, came online in 1985. The plant was constructed using the latest technology and continues to attract capital investment ensuring it maintains the highest level of safety and efficiency.
West London Fuels Terminal (Heathrow Airport)
ExxonMobil’s West London terminal operation is situated near Heathrow Airport and provides a key link in their UK distribution and Pipelines network.
